In Skanda Purana “Guravo bahavah santi shishyavittaapahaarakah. Durlabhh sa gururloke shishyachintaapahaarakah.”
Means; In this world, there are a large number of gurus who plunder wealth of their disciples, but such gurus are rare who remove the doubts and worries of their disciples.
If we get guidance from the wrong person, guru or such a person who is himself trapped in the world, then he will trap us in the world itself. And if we find genuine devotees like Sri Hanuman, Meera Bai, Sri Ras Khan, Sri Rupa Goswami, Sri Sanatana Goswami etc., then they will take us forward on the path of devotion.
The easiest way to get the grace of God in the present time is to get the grace of the devotees. The Lord resides in our hearts in the form of Chaitya Guru. When there is a desire in our hearts to attain Him, He will turn to us or associate us with a Sadguru or an authentic devotee.
If a person believes in the word of the lord or the words of a Sadguru, then we call him Shraddha. This is not superstition. There is a reason behind faith. All knowledge (omniscient), the storehouse of knowledge, there is no greater truth than the Lord Himself or His beloved Sadguru. Only by believing in them can we be blessed.
