Once a wealthy man gave some food to an old beggar who happened to come at his door. Incidentally, the beggar began to turn up every day. The wealthy man became upset and he rebuked, even tried to hit the old man. While he was on to it, one of his old relative intervened and somehow proved to him that this old beggar is none other but his lost father.
One can easily conclude the change in the situation after the said revelation. The said change occurred only after the relation between the wealthy man and the beggar was revealed.

Due to his ignorance of his true relationship with God, humans are searching happiness in the worldly things. Now these material things can never be the source of eternal happiness being themselves non-eternal in nature. Whereas recognizing relationship with the reservoir of happiness i.e. Supreme Lord, will bring back the eternal bliss.
