Many people consider Eklavya’s Guru-Bhakti to be ideal?
In general, it is accepted that Eklavya’s guru disapproved him because of low caste. Alternatively it could have been a test by Guru? However, he held firm and instead prepared an idol of Sree Dronacharya.
Outwardly, he was a devotee of Guru but in reality he was walking against his own Guru. When his Gurudev did not wish to teach him archery, it was his duty as a disciple to follow the orders of his Gurudev but Eklavya did not do so and pursued his own ambition of becoming a great warrior.
He did not submit himself to the will of his master.
